Born Caged

    I’ve always thought that keeping animals imprisoned in a zoo was cruel. Wild animals are not meant to be kept in captivity, unless in special situations (extinction). During my trip to Thailand I happened to visit a tiger zoo; I saw hundreds of young tigers caged in a few square meters. The human treatment toward those animals was inhumane. In the Zoo only one lion was present, and his cage was even smaller than the tiger’s. 

    I tend to have very strong feelings when I see these kind of conditions. I dislike cruelty, racism, discrimination and many other things which are becoming a cancer to our society. I wanted to show the world the conditions in which those poor animals were kept in, and photography seemed like the best way to do so.
